Masai Mara foi a primeira paragem desta grande aventura pelo continente africano.

Neste magnífico lugar houve oportunidade para fazer safari, um passeio de balão (das melhores experiências que já tive) e ainda uma visita a uma tribo Masai.

Nesta publicação vou-vos falar sobre o safari e a viagem de balão. Mas fiquem MUITO atentos porque é já na próxima publicação que vos vou contar tudo sobre uma tribo Masai, uma forma de viver TOTALMENTE diferente da nossa!

O safari foi fantástico! Conseguimos ver os famosos BIG FIVE, ou seja, os cinco animais mais difíceis de serem caçados pelo o Homem, são eles: leão, elefante, búfalo, rinoceronte e leopardo.

Os animais encontram-se no seu ambiente natural, ou seja,tudo pode acontecer, maior parte dos comportamentos dos animais são imprevisíveis. Assim, é impressionante como, quando estamos perante estes animais, torna-se evidente a vunerabilidade humana perante o tamanho deste animais.

A viagem de balão foi uma das melhores experiências que já tive, é uma sensação de liberdade incrível e talvez, também parte de um sonho tornando realidade - ter a oportunidade de "voar" sobre a imensidão da savana africana.

Contrariamente ao que muita gente pensa, andar de balão é bastante calmo e pacífico, é quase inexistente a tão conhecida turbulência. Lá em cima, do céu observamos não só as tão conhecidas migrações, isto é, animais em "fila indiana" atravessando aquela savana, como também avistamos desde zebras, passando por girafas, até veados e abutres.

In this magnificent place there was opportunity to do safari, a balloon ride (the best experience I've ever had) and a visit to a Masai tribe.

In this post I will talk about the safari and the balloon trip. But be VERY careful because it is already in the next post that I will talk about the Masai tribe, a TOTALLY different way to live from ours!

The safari was fantastic! We saw the famous BIG FIVE (the five most difficult animals to be hunted by humans), they are: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard.

The animals are in their natural environment, anything can happen, most animal behavior is unpredictable. Thus, it is amazing how when we are facing these animals, it is apparent human vulnerability as well to the size of this animal.

The balloon ride was one of the best experiences I've ever had, is a feeling of incredible freedom and also part of a dream come true - to have the opportunity to "fly" on the immensity of the African savannah.

Contrary to what most people think, balloon ride is very quiet and peaceful, is almost nonexistent the well-known turbulence. In the air we observed not only the well-known migrations (animals in "single file" through this savannah), but also zebras, giraffes even deer and vultures.
